How can we deploy the monitor service on all workstation on the LAN?
We recommend PDQ Deploy to initially push out the monitor service to all workstations. They have a free version that does everything you need. It can detect computers via peer to peer, active directory, by importing a text file, etc. However, you don’t have to use PDQ Deploy. There are a number of other free and paid software solutions that can push out software as well. Once the monitor service is deployed, you can configure future updates through the web interface. The monitor service has the following parameters for remote deployment: monitorservice.exe /silent /provider=ProviderName /site=siteName /key=siteKey
Do you accept new feature requests? Yes! We are always improving the software. However, if it is something that may not be used by everyone, we may quote you for the time involved in adding the feature, and you decide if you want to go ahead with it.
Do you include anti-virus?
Our software is intended as a monitoring and reporting tool at a flat rate price. We cannot include AV licenses which are sold by seat. However, you can deploy any AV solution (that supports silent install) using IT Monitor Pro. We monitor almost all AV solutions.
Does it work on 32-bit systems? No, we like those systems gone, and are no longer releasing code for 32-bit OS.
Does it work for Macs? No, Macs have entirely different paramaters in terms of monitoring. We monitor windows OSs only.
